  • OUR PROJECT PROCESS

OUR EXPERIENCE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN BUILDING IS NOT ONLY ONSITE BUT ALSO EXTENDS TO THE PLANNING, SCHEDULING, ORDERING AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROJECT.

The advantage of being a small family run business is you will communicate directly with Jed from start to finish… he is only a phone call away.

PRELIMINARY DRAWINGS AND QUOTE

Meet with Jed and the draftsperson / architect to design your custom built, dream home or alterations to your existing home. Discuss different options to maximise space, talk through practical considerations and things that may make significant difference to cost.

Based on the information gathered from the drawings and discussions with you about what inclusions, products and finishes you would like in your home, we will provide a preliminary quote.

Once you are certain of the house design and floor plan, contact your relevant council to complete the application for Planning Approval. Council will generally require the site plan, floor plan and elevations.

Once Planning Approval is granted the draftsperson will develop full working drawings, ready to submit to council for Building Approval.

COUNCIL APPROVAL

SELECTIONS AND QUOTATION FOR CONTRACT PRICE

Once the full working drawings have been completed, we will request the Engineers report and energy efficiency report (fees apply).

You will meet with various suppliers to choose the products and finishes for your home. In the mean time we will be gaining quotes from our quality subcontractors for work such as plumbing, electrical, tiling and painting. We can then provide the contract price.

Congratulations, you have decided to go ahead and build your dream home or alter your existing one!

Along with the signed contract, we will provide you with other documentation for the bank.

SIGN THE CONTRACT

CONSTRUCTION OF YOUR NEW HOME / OR ADDITION

We aim to commence construction within 4-6 weeks of Building Approval, signing the contract or as agreed. Progress payments will be made at each stage specified in the contract.

Most importantly, Jed is available for on-site meetings and to consult with along the way to answer any questions.

Once your home has reached “practical completion” we will send the final invoice and arrange a meeting to do a walk through to inspect the work together.

As soon as the final payment has been made in full, we hand over the keys to your new home or investment.
